The Cyclone Marching Academies are a series of events throughout the summer to help high school marching band directors and students get prepared for their Fall marching band season, expand their knowledge in the marching arts, and provide applicable learning opportunities from marching arts professionals from across the country.  We will have more details to share soon, but we wanted to share dates with you now!

JUNE 27, 2026 - Cyclone Leadership Academy

Great bands are built by great leaders—and this track is where they're made. Drum majors, section leaders, and rising student leaders will dig into servant leadership through real, hands-on activities designed to hit the ground running the moment you get back to your band room. You won't just learn about leadership. You'll practice it, live it, and bring it home.

JULY 11, 2026 - Cyclone Percussion Academy

Our flagship track and the heartbeat of the academy. Train shoulder-to-shoulder with a nationally recognized guest clinician plus the members and staff of the Cyclone Marching Band drumline—the same folks lighting up Jack Trice Stadium every Saturday. Sharpen your chops, level up your technique, and walk away with the kind of experience that transforms a drumline.

Spin, toss, and own the field. Work directly with the members and staff of the Cyclone Marching Band color guard to refine your flagwork and tackle rifle technique—whether you're a seasoned spinner or picking up a rifle for the very first time. This is your chance to push your skills, find your confidence, and head into fall ready to perform.

8:00 AM - Check-In Begins
9:00 AM - Start Morning Block
12:00 PM - Lunch
1:00 PM - Start Afternoon Block
5:00 PM - Final Performance (for Drumline/Guard Camps)/End Camp
